visual ideas drawn from concept to character.
Illustration is where many of my projects begin.
Before things move, scale or get produced, I often translate ideas into visual form – to explore tone, atmosphere and narrative direction. I work across illustration, visual development and graphic design, creating images that help concepts take shape early on and remain usable throughout production, motion design or final delivery.
Illustration for me is both a creative and strategic tool. I use it to think, explore and communicate ideas early – and to create visuals that remain useful beyond a single phase of a project.
Responsibilities
I create illustrations and visual material for a wide range of contexts – from early-stage concept work to finished assets for print, digital and motion.
This makes the work adaptable: from sketch to final artwork, from static image to animated element.
I often collaborate closely with producers, designers and motion teams, ensuring that visual development translates smoothly into later stages of production.
My work includes:
· Visual development for pitches, concepts and creative directions
· Character design, environments and narrative illustrations
· Editorial and graphic illustrations for print and digital use
· Illustrations created specifically for motion design and animation
· Graphic design elements supporting campaigns, brands and content formats
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate
Assets prepared for print, digital and motion use (SVG, AI, PSD, PNG, PDF)
selected Work
Rather than focusing on individual hero projects, my illustration work spans many formats and use cases.
01 General Motors – GE Vernova
For an internal presentation, I created a series of sketch-based visualizations to explore architectural and branding interventions for an industrial office space. Based on reference imagery, I translated design ideas such as material concepts, lighting elements, logo placements and greenery into loose, hand-drawn visuals. The illustrations were used to quickly communicate atmosphere, scale and intent during the early concept phase.

02 ASTA Calendar
For a printed student calendar, I developed a cohesive illustration concept spanning cover artwork and interior visuals. The hand-drawn illustrations translate everyday student life and local references into a unified visual language. The cover combines iconic architectural and cultural elements of Aachen, while the interior illustrations focus on familiar academic motifs, creating a playful yet structured identity across the entire publication.

03 Automotive Campaign Pitch – Concept Visuals
For an automotive campaign pitch, I developed collage-based illustration concepts to visualize the creative direction of a global marketing idea. Combining photographic elements, custom sketches, and graphic textures, the visuals translated abstract campaign narratives into tangible scenes. The illustrations were designed to communicate vision, scale, and storytelling potential across presentation slides, supporting the overall pitch concept.

04 Wacken Metal Academy – Visual Identity Development
For the Wacken Metal Academy, I developed a refined visual identity system to bring clarity and consistency to the brand. This included modernizing the existing logo, defining wordmark and symbol variations, establishing a coherent color palette, and selecting complementary typography to support the core Wacken typeface. The result was a flexible, production-ready visual framework designed for digital and print use.

05 Character-Driven Illustration System
For a multi-day student politics campaign, I illustrated a series of custom characters inspired by iconic superhero archetypes, reimagined as representatives of key areas within university politics. Each character translated complex topics such as participation, organization, or soft skills into an approachable visual language. The illustrations were used across social media and extended into large-scale physical applications, including life-size standees and printed campaign materials.

All this started because of my passion for art. This is the reason I do what I do — and why I care so much about how ideas are brought to life.
